Young Blues in seventh heaven

AFC SUDBURY 0 BISHOP’S STORTFORD 2
Blues Academy made it seven wins on the bounce thanks to an excellent defensive display particularly from keeper Aron Martin who had an outstanding match at Brundon Lane, on Wednesday.
Stortford had the early edge and took the lead in the 22nd minute when Dan Pinkney slipped the ball just outside the box to Joseph Vieites-Stephenson who hammered a rising shot under the bar.
From then on the hosts controlled most of the play with Martin making several fine saves. The second half saw the Suffolk side enjoy most of the possession and they were rocked a precise through pass down the middle from Vieites -Stephenson found Matt Kemp harging goalwards to double the advantage with eleven minutes left of normal time.
Tim Moylette’s side included Chad Cruse and Frankie Oatham who both made their first team debuts the previous night at Hereford along with Jamie Riley who also made the trip.
Blues, now in third spot in the league, have a fortnight break before playing leaders Barking at the ProKit (UK) Stadium.
