Young Blues end with a win

BISHOP’S STORTFORD 3 LONDON TIGERS 1
(THE NATIONAL LEAGUE UNDER 19 ALLIANCE – DIVISION C)
The young Blues wrapped up their season with a comfortable 3-1 win against basement side Tigers with ease.
Tim Moylette’s side had a slight edge from the start and took the lead in the 33rd minute when skipper Dan Pinkey netted after Tigers’ keeper Alan Kochanowicz had let slip from his grasp a ball into the box by Jack Booker.
The lead was doubled in the 68th minute by Louie Johnson who scored with a shot on the turn from the left side of the goal from an acute angle.
Tigers’ striker Luis Veiga pulled a goal back in the 73rd minute but the two goal lead was restored a minute later as Pinkey scored his second goal after good work by substitute Tolu Osiyemi.
This was the Birchwood High School based side’s last match of the season as their home match earlier in April against Brentford CST that was postponed when the West London team failed to turn up will not be played.
Stortford finished 7th in the ten team division.
