Swifts 2 Blues 2

Blues came from a goal down to gain a draw at Heybridge Swifts, on Tuesday.
An own goal and Aaron Greene gave Stortford a share of the spoils in their second pre-season friendly.
The visitors opened well and went close to opening the scoring in the tenth minute when Jamie Cureton and Greene linked well to set up Nazor who saw his shot flash wide.
Nazor again went close before Blues opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Cureton’s presence in the box saw a defender deflect Greene’s perfect cross into the net.
Cureton nearly doubled the lead in the 25th minute with what would have been an absolute screamer as he turned on the volley and hit an absolute piledriver from 30 yards which flashed just wide.
But within 60 seconds the score was level when a good run from Chatting ended with him firing low into the net.
The impressive Nazor twice went close with volleys and Ryan Henshaw troubled the home keeper with a similar effort, but the sides went into the dressing on level terms.
Joint bosses Steve Smith and Cureton made seven half-time changes, with the latter being one of the players to have a rest, and the disruption to the line-up saw Swifts grab the lead two minutes after the break as Nick Brown fired home from long range.
Greene went close with a free-kick shortly after before he levelled in the 58th minute when Greene again beat his man down the wing and his fizzing cross eluded everyone and nestled in the far corner of the net.
