Blues’ joint boss Steve Smith was pleased as his side bounced back from Tuesday’s defeat to progress in the FA Trophy with 2-1 win at Hythe Town.
“It was another great performance yesterday after the disappointment of Tuesday night where we were great for 45 min were 2-0 up but conceded right on half time.
“The second half saw us get a couple bad decisions against us which cost us but we bounced back yesterday in a very difficult game and got through to next round.
“Thanks to all the supporters who travelled to the game, and I hope Malcolm is okay after his nasty fall at the service station.”
Having collected £3,250 in prize money for winning the tie, Blues now go into Monday’s draw for the second qualifying round on Saturday November 10 where there is another £4,000 on offer.
