After seeing his side continue their good run, joint manager Steve Smith was pleased with Saturday’s 1-0 win against AFC Hornchurch.
Since taking over managerial hot-seat along with Jamie Cureton, Smith’s side have lost only one of 12 games, progressing in the FA Trophy and Herts Senior Cup as well as moving up to the fringe of the Bostik League play-offs.
“It was another great win today against a strong physical side in Hornchurch” he said. “The three new signings all did very well. The centre half [Ryan Henshaw] was man of the match, the right back [Ben Samparo] was solid and Cally [Luke Callandar] gave us a more physical presence up front alongside Curo.
“But, overall, the whole team dug in and got the result. It’s another three points and we move on next week’s Trophy game at Greenwich.
“Thanks to everyone for their support.”
