Smith disappointed with loss

Joint manager Steve Smith was clearly upset after Blues’ saw their winning streak come to an end with a 2-1 home loss against Lewes.

The loss ended a run of four straight league wins and was only Smith and Jamie Cureton’s second defeat in the Bostik Premier after taking control of the team in September.

“I’m very disappointed” said Smith. “I thought we started the game well scored early, and then Ryan’s hit the post with a header.

“But after that they dominated us  and got a deserved equaliser  when we changed it and put the extra one in the middle of the park and played higher we were better.  But overall I think we came up a bit short on the day but we move on to the next game in a positive mind. Thanks for your support.”
