Smith disappointed with Leatherhead loss

Steve Smith couldn’t hide his disappointment as Blues down 1-0  to a freak first half goal at Leatherhead, on Saturday.

“I’m really upset about yesterday” he admitted, “We have got to start picking points up on the road I understand it was game of two halves, but can’t keep giving teams a goal start and then chasing game.

“We miss Cally [Luke Callander] up top and Curo [Jamie Cureton] gets too isolated and young Olly [Miles] is not ready to start games. He’s a good impact player but Cally is good target man for us and we need him on the pitch.”

Smith is now looking forward to Tuesday evening’s Velocity Trophy semi-final at Enfield Town: “Still we go again Tuesday night and hopefully reach a final. It’s massive game for the club financially as well and then another big game on Saturday  which we now need to win after yesterday’s result.”
