Smith disappointed with Folkestone loss
BLUES’ joint boss Steve Smith couldn’t hide his disappointment as his side fell to a third straight loss, going down 2-0 at Folkestone Invicta.
“It wasn’t the best result on Saturday” he said. “It was played in horrendous conditions and after Folkestone scored after only five minutes we didn’t really get going.
“I’m not making excuses but we got couple injuries at the moment and we haven’t got any depth on bench but hopefully everyone will be fit for the Harlow game on Boxing Day where we will dust ourselves down and go again.”
Stortford will look to break that losing streak when they travel to Wingate & Finchley for a league cup tie on Tuesday, before the eagerly awaited derby game against Harlow Town on Boxing Day, kick-off 1pm.
