Smith delighted with win
Joint manager Steve Smith was delighted after Blues recorded a 3-0 victory at Bugess Hill, on Saturday,
“It was very good win” he said “I said before the game it was a must win to keep us in and around the play offs.
“We were very good, and having Mark Haines back was a big plus for us. We looked very solid at the back had good balance in the middle of the park our two wide players were excellent.
“Up front Curo [Jamie Cureton] and Cally [Luke Callander] were great even though Jamie didn’t score his work rate and movement was brilliant and he got two assists.
“Cally gets a lot of stick but his hold up play and his overall game were good – he just needs a goal.
“But overall I am happy we got a free week so we will prepare well for next Saturday’s game at home to Mertsham which is another six pointer but one that we can definitely win. I hope to all the supporters on Saturday and they’ll get behind the boys. We all need to be positive we are in a better place than last year on and off the pitch and we still have something to play for.”
