Smith delighted with cup win

STEVE Smith was a happy man after his much-changed side won 5-1 at Wingate & Finchley to progress to the Velocity Cup quarter-final, on Tuesday.
“I’m absolutely delighted with last night we were down to bare bones and we brought in four kids” said the joint Blues’ boss
“Sam Robbins had to pull out cos I didn’t want to risk losing him for Christmas period but it was great to get back to winning ways.
“I must say Alex Wall came into midfield alongside Jack Thomas and did great. It’s good to be in the last eight and it puts us in good spirits for the Harlow game on Boxing Day.
“I’m hoping all Blues fans have a great Christmas, and that we’ll have a big crowd and get a good result against Harlow.”
