Blues’ joint boss Steve Smith was in a reflective mood after his side went down 3-0 at home against Kingstonian, on Saturday.
“We bad day at the office on Saturday” he said. “It could have been so different if we had took our chances early on in game but it wasn’t to be.
“They are a good side, their two forwards are decent but when you think that their two wages are as much as our budget, it’s not surprising that we lost.
“It didn’t help having three of our better players out on the day but hopefully they will be back for the Tonbridge game.”
As they face an eleven-day lay-off, Smith is still holding out hope that his side can challenge for the play-offs: “We are still in the mix, we just need to get couple results going. Thanks for your support on Saturday.”
