Smith “all to play for”

As his side prepare for tonight’s Herts Senior Cup tie against Watford, joint boss Steve Smith believes that Blues still have everything to play for:

“Tonight’s just about getting over Saturday” he said, referring to the 4-3 home loss against Tonbridge Angels.

steve smith“I thought we deserved something out of the game I think if Hainsey [Mark Haines] had been fit it would have been a different outcome the long throw caused us all sorts of problems.

“We needed someone dominant in there but overall we still chances to get something out of the game our thoughts go out to Isaac who has broken his arm and will be missing for six weeks.

“On to tonight’s game it’s a good opportunity for us to get into the semi-final of the Herts Senior Cup we will be mixing it up and using the squad .

“Finally there is a lot of negativity coming from the stands could u please get behind the team we are only seven points off the play-offs and still in two cups. So we still have plenty to play for and we have good squad now. Ryan Charles will be back next week which will be great news for us.”
