Penalty woe for Blues
Blues suffered penalty shoot-out heartbreak as they lost a shootout at Enfield Town in the Velocity Trophy semi-final, on Tuesday.
A depleted Stortford team, missing four cup-tied and three injured players, went 2-0 up in north London following goals from Alfie Mason (27th minute) and new signing George Craddock (63).
But two goals inside a minute saw the hosts level the score before Cambridge United loanee Ben Worman put them back ahead in the 78th minute.
But a screamer from the experienced Billy Bricknell in the second minute of stoppage time sent the game into a penalty shoot-out where Blues went down 4-2.
