Johnville returns for a second season

Johnville ReneeJohnville Renee will return to the Blues for a second season as the club continue to sign the core of the squad on one-year contracts.
Johnville Renee ActionThe experienced defender played more games than any other Blues player during the 2018/19 campaign, missing only three league games and playing in all 12 cup ties, scoring three goals in the process.
“We had an option on Johnville’s contract, and we’re delighted to activate it” said joint boss Steve Smith. “He’s had a really good season for us and having been at pro clubs in the past, I think he could still kick on and play at a higher level.”
Renee began his career at Leyton Orient before leaving for Stoke City at 15 years old. He spent four years at The Potters before joining AFC Wimbledon in League 2. Comfortable in both defence and midfield, he spent six months at Maldon & Tiptree last season before making his Stortford debut against Hitchin Town in a Herts County Charity Cup tie in August 2017.
