Histon in town for final pre-season game

Blues wrap up their pre-season campaign with a visit from old rivals Histon on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
The sides met in both Conference South and North between 2005 and 2013, with Blues ruining their Conference South championship celebrations in April 2007.
After reaching the Conference play-offs in 2007/8 a steady decline saw Histon relegated four times in nine years, and the 2017/18 saw the return to the Eastern Counties League 18 years after they had left it. They finished sixth that season before winning the title in 2018/19, taking an impressive 95 points from 38 games. Their FA Cup campaign saw wins against Peterborough Northern Star and Eynesbury Rovers before they drew 2-2 at Kings Lynn Town and then lost the replay 7-0. There was a similarly bizarre end to their (brief) FA Vase campaign as they drew 1-1 at AFC Rushden & Diamonds before losing 6-1 at home.
They have been placed in the Isthmian League North Division as they face their seventh different league in 13 seasons.
The Stutes have played four pre-season games, winning 3-2 at Takeley, drawing 1-1 at Rushden & Diamonds and at home against a Cambridge United XI as well as losing 3-2 at Chatteris Town.
