Hawks in town on Saturday

Old rivals Whitehawk are the visitors to the ProKit (UK) Stadium on Saturday as Blues look to bounce back from their FA Trophy exit and maintain their push for a play-off spot.

The two clubs were regular opponents in Conference South before were relegated in 2016/17, with the Brighton-based side winning 3-0 at the PrroKit and 1-0 at home that year, but the Hawks quickly followed Stortford into the third tier of non-league football with a 21st placed finish last season.
The Sussex side have yet to recover from last season’s relegation are 19th in the Bostik League Premier, just above the relegation zone on goal difference, with 11 points from 14 games and went out of the FA Trophy at the first hurdle with a 3-2 loss against Harlow Town.
They did have a brief FA Cup run with wins against Pagham and East Thurrrock United before being hammered 9-1 at Billericay Town, but despite only 27 league goals conceded that is not their only big loss this season with an 8-0 hammering at Bognor Regis Town and a 6-0 defeat at Enfield Town.
Blues’ management team of Steve Smith and Jamie Cureton will have Ben Sampayo and Nick Brown to choose from after the pair missed Saturday’s loss at Greenwich Borough due to being cup-tied.
