Folkestone Invicta 2 Blues 0

Blues slipped to their third successive defeat as two first half goals saw them go down 2-0 at Folkestone Invicta, on Saturday. The Blues arrived with a depleted squad with only 14 players available; due to the fact Jack Thomas was ill and Ben Sampayo suffering a hamstring injury he picked up at Haringey.
It took only five minutes for the home side to open the scoring as a good through ball into the path of Yusuff, who calmly slotted past Calum Kitscha in the Blues’ goal.
Kitscha was the busiest man on the pitch in the first half as he denied Everitt and Draycott, while at the other end Jamie Cureton saw a long range effort go wide of the goal.
Luke Callander also went close for the Blue Brazil but the home side doubled their lead in the 33rd minute when Paxman split the defence with a driving run and calmly slotted home.
Blues finished the first half strongly with Callander being denied by the linesman’s flag after putting the ball in the net and Nick Brown seeing a shot hit the base of the post.
Cureton miss hit effort early in the second half and Ryan Henshaw, who also went close as the Blues started the second half strongly.
Johnville Renee saw his shot flash just wide of the goal, but even with all three substitutes being used the Blues couldn’t turn things around and although Brown saw an effort, which was  disallowed for offside, Folkestone closed out the game to complete a double over Stortford.
Blues: Calum Kitscha, Isaac Nkosi (Alfie Mason), Chris Gregan, Hector Kyprianou, Sam Robbins, Ryan Henshaw, Nick Brown (Haaroon Belaid), Johnville Renee, Jamie Cureton (Olly Miles), Luke Callander, Ryan Charles.
