Enfield trip in League Cup

Blues have been handed another away trip in the Velocity Cup semi-final, and will visit fellow promotion contenders Enfield Town.

The E’s reached the last four with single goal victories against Canvey Island, Ware and Maldon & Tiptree before Burgess Hill Town were beaten 4-1 at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in front of a crowd of 147.

Former Blues goalkeeper Joe Wright and midfielder Matt Johnson were in the side for that victory, and it will be the second meeting between the teams in North London with Blues losing 2-1 in August despite a late Lewis Dark goal.

The game is likely to be played in early February.
