Enfield trip for Blues

Stortford return action on Tuesday when they make the short trip to Enfield Town, kick-off 7.45pm.
While Blues were making it eight games unbeaten with a 3-1 win against Bognor Regis Town on Saturday, Enfield were forced to settle for a point at Lewes as the home side hit an 86th minute equaliser.
The E’s were expected to challenge for promotion last season, but finished in tenth spot, six points behind seventh placed Blues.
Home advantage proved key in the three meetings between the teams last season, with both sides winning their home league game 2-1 while in the Isthmian League Cup semi-final the E’s won 4-3 on penalties after a 3-3 draw.
The E’s went on to win the League Cup with a 2-0 win against Hornchurch, but in the FA Cup they suffered a surprise 3-0 home loss against Bedford Town at the first hurdle. In the FA Trophy they won 1-0 at Loewstoft before losing 2-1 at Basingstoke Town.
The North London side have had a successful pre-season with wins against FC United of Manchester, Chalfont St Peter, Grays Athletic, St Ives and a Tottenham XI, along with losses against Hampton and Royston Town.
