Crows fly in on Tuesday

Blues continued their pre-season campaign on Tuesday when Royston Town visit the ProKit (UK) Stadium, kick-7.45pm.
Admission to the game has been reduced to £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for under-16s.
The Crows will arrive at the home of football on a high after winning the Community Cup at Cheshunt FC, on Saturday. Royston beat the hosts 2-1 having already won 4-0 against Cheshunt’s tenants FC Romania 4-0 in 60-minute games.
Prior to Saturday’s exertions, Royston had already played six pre-season games, with wins against Hendon, Harpenden Town and Newmarket Town, but defeats against Hemel Hempstead, Potton United and Cambridge City.
Stortford met Royston in the Southern League Premier Division in 2017/18 with the Crows coming out on top in both games, opening 2018 with a 3-0 win at the ProKit UK Stadium before completing the double at Garden Walk with an entertaining 4-2 victory on Easter Monday.
Those games where the only league meetings between the two clubs in their long histories, but the previous three years had seen Blues come out on top in county cup ties against the Crows, including a 1-0 victory in the 2015 Charity Cup final.
The Crows finished tenth in the new Southern League Premier Central last season, collecting 60 points from 42 games. They went out of the FA Cup at the first stage with a 3-2 loss at AFC Sudbury, but the FA Trophy saw three goal wins against Maldon & Tiptree and Thame United before losing a replay at league rivals Needham Market.
