CLUB STATEMENT: VELOCITY TROPHY

Following a meeting of the league’s management committee, we can confirm that we have been removed from this year’s Velocity Trophy having fielded an ineligible player in the 4-3 victory at East Thurrock in round two.

The player in question was substituted early in the game after the issue had been recognized, and whilst the club were commended for trying to take the right action having spotted the error, the league has understandably taken the decision to remove us from the competition.

We apologise to the Blues supporters who travelled on the night and wish East Thurrock United all the best in the next round.
