Blues v Stratford – looking back
As we prepare to wrap up the season with a visit by Stratford Town, Blues’ fan Andrew Bubien looks back at the programme for their only previous visit to Woodside Park.
The game was in the F A Cup third qualifying round on Saturday 14th October 2006. Blues had been exempt to the 2nd qualifying Round and had an excellent 3-1 win away to Sutton United.
A crowd of 489 at Woodside Park saw Southend United’s on loan striker Charles Ademeno score a goal in each half to give Blues a 2-0 win and an away tie at Dover Athletic in the final qualifying round.
