Blues look to slay Dragons

Blues will look to bounce back after the disappointment of losing to Hereford when they make their second visit of the season to Basingstoke on Tuesday .

February’s trip was postponed shortly before kick-off due to a waterlogged pitch while last month’s attempt to play the game fell victim to snow.

Following Saturday’s 2-0 win against strugglers Dunstable, the Dragons are 12th in the table with 61 points from 42 games and have taken 48 points from their 21 home matches, losing just three times.

Kevin Watson’s will looking for a league double when they visit the Carlsberg Stadium as goals from Freddie Moncur and Dipo Akinyemi gave them a 2-0 win when the sides met in October.

In common with Stortford, their participation in the FA competitions was brief, suffering losses against Hartley Wintey and Dorchester Town in the Cup and Trophy respectively.
