It’s with regret that Bishop’s Stortford FC announce the departure of  manager Kevin Watson.
Kevin is a young and ambitious manager and the BSFC Board are unable to meet his budgetary needs for coming season, so in the best interests of the club and Kevin’s career, the Board have reluctantly agreed to look at other options.
At the shareholders meeting held last week the board reiterated to its members that the club cannot continue to spend beyond its means and with reducing crowds we have to set a realistic budget that can be maintained throughout the coming season and Kevin felt it would be difficult to work within the proposed budget.
The Board of Directors would like to put on record their thanks to Kevin for his efforts during his tenure, not only with the first team but also his work with the academy which has seen a number of players making the transition to the first team squad last season, and this opportunity remains open to Kevin if circumstances allow.
The club wish Kevin well for his future management career.
