Alfie returns for Blues

Alfie Mason ActionAlfie Mason has become the latest of Blues’ exciting group of youngsters to put pen to paper on a one-year contract.
The striker netted five goals in 37 league games for the Blues during 2018/19 and added a further strike in eight cup matches – and joint Steve Smith is delighted to have signed for next season:
“Alfie’s been a bit unlucky with injuries, but he’s done well for us and the games he’s played will benefit his development” he said.
“He’s definitely one for the future and I’m very pleased to get him on a contract.”
Alfie Mason ActionAlfie was a member of the successful under 18s side that fought their way through to play Colchester United in the 2nd round proper of the FA Youth in 2017. He scored twice in extra time when Stortford beat Boreham Wood in the 1st round. Alfie made his Blues senior debut when coming on as a substitute against Kings Langley in November of the same year.
He had a short loan spell at Thurlow Nunn Eastern Leaguers Coggeshall Town in the early part of the New Year and netted his first senior goal for Stortford when scoring against Slough Town in March. By the end of the 2017/18 campaign Alfie had made 19 appearances for Stortford and scored two goals.
