Mark arrived for his second spell on loan from Chelmsford City just before last Christmas with a gap of almost seven years from his first spell having been on a month’s loan from the Clarets in early 2012 when the Blues were in the Conference League North. He made his Stortford debut in a home 1-1 draw with Workington. Earlier in his career Mark made a number of appearances for Northampton Town’s reserve team during the 2007/08 season after spells with West Ham United and Southend United in their younger age groups. He then joined Grays Athletic in the Blue Square Bet Premier the following campaign before joining the Chelmsford City squad in the 2009/10 term. He was named as the “Young Player of the Year” in that first season at Chelmsford and is the Essex side’s longest serving player with almost 300 first team appearances. Mark, at the end of 2019, had made 29 appearances for Stortford.
