18 year-old Ben was signed on loan for the Blues from Cambridge United in the middle of January and made his Stortford debut in a Velocity Trophy quarter-final tie at Merstham. He made a goalscoring league debut when netting the first Stortford goal in a 4-3 home defeat to Tonbridge Angels and netted in each of his first four Stortford league matches. Ben has been with Cambridge United since he was seven and developed through the Club’s Academy age groups across the last decade. Ben became the youngest United player to make his senior debut when he played in a Checkatrade Trophy clash with Peterborough United in November 2017. Earlier last season, following signing a 3-year professional contract last September, Ben had a short loan spell with Evo-Stik Southern Premier side St Neots Town. Called back to United shortly before the end of last season, Ben made a substitute appearance in their final match at Macclesfield Town. Stortford have renewed the loan at the start of the current campaign. Ben made 21 appearances and netted 9 goals for Stortford last term.
