Smith Apologies For Manner Of Defeat

Blues’ joint boss Steve Smith has apologised to fans following Tuesday night’s 5-0 hammering at Enfield Town.
“firstly I must apologise to all the fans that travelled last night” he said. “We were rocked by conceding two goals in the first five minutes, but there’s no excuses. We have been playing three at the back all pre-season and on Saturday against Bognor – and we’ve played well.
“But last night I don’t think we were quite at it all over the pitch and it’s cost us, but I can assure you come Saturday we will be ready to go.”
Smith was making no excuses for forward Luke Callendar who left the action in the 70th minute after a late challenge saw him collect a red card: “I was really dissapointed with Cally getting sent off it was a poor challenge and the right decision and we now lose him for three games after Saturday.”
