Dear Supporters,

Myself and the Club Directors were delighted to welcome you back to the R&D Advisors UK Stadium this past saturday; in what was our first home competitive game since October last year. We’re ever-grateful for your support and regret that, unfortunately, we were not able to pick up 3-points for you.

Whilst not the best start to our Home campaign, I’ve been saying all week that although the score finished 5-2, it wasn’t a 5-2 game. Steve said that he would like to make the ground a fortress this year, and we’re still confident in doing just that. The season just started, and the lads that were able to play on Saturday almost turned the game on its head at 3-2. At the very least, we got to see Jonny Giles’ screamer at the town-end!

Looking ahead, the team face a trip to Carshalton this weekend where we hope to get our first win of the season against Carshalton Athletic FC. We’re expecting new signing Bobby Unwin, who impressed on Saturday to make the trip – welcome to The Blues, Bobby!

In other news, we have welcomed Fred Plume onto the Board of Directors at Bishop’s Stortford Football Club. Fred has been a fantastic servant to the football club. Joining 12 years ago as club secretary, 2012 and brings with him a unique knowledge of football administration and operations that will be greatly beneficial as the club executes it’s exciting future plans

We look forward to seeing you on Monday for our League Fixture with Bowers & Pitsea!
