BSFC MATCHDAY SPONSORSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT
HANDY HAN – THE LADY THAT CAN!
Bishop’s Stortford Football Club are incredibly proud to announce that Season Ticket Holder Hannah Mead, also known as Handy Han – The Lady That Can, has sponsored Saturday’s Pitching In Isthmian League fixture against Merstham F.C at the R&D Advisors U.K. Stadium.
Hannah started Handy Han, a handylady service covering Hertfordshire and Essex, in 2020, explaining “I had previously worked for a local distribution company as a Sales Manager, but decided I didn’t want to continue in this field and wanted to do something that gave me job satisfaction and a bit of freedom. I have always been a hands-on girl keen on DIY tasks.“
“So, I bought a van, got myself some tools and started carrying out all sorts of jobs for people. Jobs like painting and decorating – inside and out – hanging doors, fixing skirting boards, architraves, window boards, timber repairs etc. I even help people around their homes with the more handy tasks like, hanging pictures, fixing shelving and even exterior gutter clear outs. The list goes on!”
Hannah has a deep-rooted passion for football in the local area, having played for the town’s first girls team – Stortford Jets – as well as Bishop’s Stortford Ladies, Sawbridgeworth Town and Harlow Town.
“I retired from playing three years ago, but I still miss the playing days. I’m now a season ticket holder at both Bishop’s Stortford and Tottenham Hotspur, where I attend most games with my step dad, Mark Hargrave. Mark is famous for putting on quizzes at the club, both for the Community Club and the Supporters Club, and I enjoy attending these with my friends and family. We’re all there next Friday and Mark has asked me to remind you all that spaces are still available!”
Hannah’s favourite Blue is Jack Thomas, who she admires for his tenacity and determination.
“Please contact me if you need any works carried out, I’m happy to quote for most things required around the home and I will always do my best to do a good job for you!”
