Blues fans mourn the loss of one of their own.

Everyone at BSFC were saddened by the news that former midfielder Nicky White died suddenly on Thursday morning following a heart attack. He was only 48 years old.

Nicky joined the club in 1989 as part of Peter Isherwood’s fledgling youth set up playing with the likes of Ian Hollamby, George Cooper and Matt Holland before progressing into John Radford’s first team in October 1991 as an 18 year old.

He soon became a regular in Blues’ midfield making a total of 97 appearances and scoring 15 goals in a three year spell before work commitments took priority over his football.

He was a popular player with the fans, not only due to his local roots but because he was a talented, classy player and a really nice lad.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
