Bishop’s Stortford 1-0 Luton Town U21s Match Report 29/9/23

Hamish Arnold

Gio McGregor scored the only goal as Bishop’s Stortford won a friendly match on Friday night. This weekend was left free from Vanarama National League North action, with the Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying Round taking place. The Blues hosted Luton Town U21s at the RDA Stadium, with McGregor – who gained praise for his debut in the defeat at Hereford last week – running onto a through ball in the left channel, and shooting low into the bottom right corner. Kyran Clements signed from Braintree Town on the day of the game and started in defence, while a trialist played 90 minutes in midfield. Ryan Charles was withdrawn early through injury, while Tom Derry, Darren Foxley and Tosin Olufemi missed out as they recover from injuries.
