Vass called up by Northern Ireland
Former Blues’ striker Kyle Vassell has received a call-up for the Northern Ireland squad ahead of their Nations League double header away to Austria and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The 26-year-old left the Blue Brazil five years ago to sign for Peterborough United after a brief but spectacular spell with the club, netting 13 times in 16 games.
After loan spells with Oxford United, Dagenham & Redbridge and Shrewsbury Town, he was released by Posh having scored five goals in 28 games but landed a deal at Blackpool.
“Vas” scored 22 goals in 63 games as the Tangerines won promotion from League 2 and established themselves in League 1 before moving to Championship side Rotherham United in the summer.
