rod v whitehawkBlues boss Rod Stringer is hoping for plenty of support as his side travel to Hayes & Yeading on Saturday before hosting Bromley on Tuesday evening.

Stringer was upset with how his comments were reported following the FA Cup defeat at Tooting and hopes that the club’s supporters will continue to get behind his team:

“I was asked one question about the supporters in a long interview, and it’s been blown out of proportion” he said.

“I was a bit upset with some of the comments on social media from people who weren’t there, but anyone who was at the game is entitled to their opinion.

“We are operating on a small budget, and while we don’t have big crowds, I appreciate all the support we get.

“We’re all disappointed with Tuesday’s result, but we need the fans behind us for the rest of the season as we look to move up the table.

“Everyone’s entitled to an opinion, and your support is appreciated.”

Stringer is hopeful of organising a meet the manager evening in the next couple of weeks.
