Smith ready for tough weekend
Blues’ joint manager Steve Smith was delighted with Saturday’s 3-0 win against high-flying Worthing and is ready for a big Easter weekend for his side.
“It was another great result for us, and I’m so proud of all the players” he said.
“”We only had 12 fit players, so to win 3-0 against a team that was 3rd in the league is great for us. It keeps us in the mix to make the play-offs, and we have a tough weekend ahead. But we have great momentum and are the ln-form side at the moment, so we got to just keep going for the next three games.
“It’s Curo’s [Jamie Cureton] 1000th game on Monday which will be special day for him and I hope we get a good turnout for the game. Once again thanks for everyone’s support yesterday.”
Blues travel to Lewes on Saturday before hosting Brighlingsea Regent on Easter Monday, 3pm.
