Sheldon Sellears proved to be the difference as Blues came back from a goal down to win 2-1 at St Neots Town on Saturday.

Former Blues Academy midfielder Sellears levelled the score 15 minutes after the break and then set up the winner for Anthony Church as Rod Stringer’s team made it two wins in three days.

The Saints started well and took a 25th minute lead, and although Church went close eight minutes before the break, Stortford went into the dressing room 1-0 down.

Substitute keeper Joe Wright kept the Blues in the game with a fine save at his left post 12 minutes into the second half, before Sellears netted the equaliser 16  minutes after the break.

Church hit the winner midway through the second half when he latched onto Sellears cross before firing home.

With Harry Baker, Phil Anderson and Ryan Laville/Charles all on the injured list, boss Rod Stringer took 20 players to the game in Cambridgeshire, with all nine substitutes coming on after the break.

Blues: J Larkin, A Miller, J Herd, J Tibiri, G Allen, L Monthe, D Hunt, A Church, Suarez, J Guy, S McCall. Subs: J Wright, R Melaugh, S Seallears, Z Burton, L Millbourne, Daly, J Fagbohun, L Monk, M Parry.
