Supporters’ Club return on investment

sam2Gordon Boateng hopes that the signing of striker Sam Smith on a three-month loan deal will solve at least some of Blues’ scoring problems.

Former Manchester United forward Smith is in this third season with the Royals, and scored 24 goals for their under-18 side in the 2015/16 season and has also featured for the under-23 team.

“I am happy to announce that Sam Smith will be joining us from Championship side Reading FC on a three month loan” said boss Gordon Boarteng.

“This was made possible because of the great work of the supporters club and the 12th Man scheme, as the money recently raised has gone to capturing such promising prolific forward. sam3

“We are delighted to have Sam on board with us, having watched Sam play, I can see why Reading FC regard him highly, with his eye for goal, Hunger and desire as well as professional approach to the game, the three months he is with us, I am sure it will be a wonderful education for Sam.

“I would like to finish by personally thanking Darren and all connected to the Supporters’ Club for making this loan possible with the funds you managed to raise made this possible and finally we would like to thank everyone at Reading FC, As I am sure Sam fit in with us and do his best to get those much needed goals.”
