O’Reilly and Weemes join the Blues

dorBlues have added to their defensive options with the signing for former Republic of Ireland youth international Daniel O’Reilly.

The former Fulham under-18 centre half captained his country at under-15, under-16 and under-17 level.

He spent a month on loan at Walton Casuals last season and in their words “Daniel was a consistent figure for the side who helped the defence vigorously – bringing the physicality of the Premier League to the Ryman Division One South., picking up yellow cards in his first two games and a straight red in the third.

The Dublin-born player has been playing for fallen giants Hereford United in the Southern League Premier Division this season, making 15 appearances and was unused sub in Blues’ 2-0 defeat at Stevenage in the Herts Senior Cup last night.

weemesO’Reilly joins fellow new-boy Lee Weemes at the ProKit UK Stadium with the striker having had a successful spell at Ryman North side Aveley this season. He can count Wycombe Wanderers, Tamworth and Tilbury among his previous clubs and played for Tamworth against Everton in the third round of the FA Cup.

Lee made his Blues debut with a first half run-out against Stevenage yesterday.
