Non-League Day at BSFC

With no Premier League or Championship football over the weekend, semi-pro football stages “Non-League Day” on Saturday.

The Blues really will be the best team in area to watch and they’ve entered into the spirit of it by offering cheap admission to fans who normally watch pro teams.

Season ticket holder s for any Premier or Football League teams can gain admission to the ProKit UK Stadium for Saturday’s home game against Basingstoke Town for just £5 if they show their ticket.

Kick-off is at 3pm, and the Rod Stringer’s side will be up against a Basingstoke team who have started the season in fine form and sit third in the table with four wins from six games.

Blues added pacey forward Rod Young to their squad on a four month loan from Welling United on Friday and the former Norwich City striker made an instant impact as he linked up well with Mikel Suarez , so hopefully there will be plenty for Stortford fans to shout about on Saturday.

It’s the first of three successive Saturday games for the Blues, with Bath City and Whitehawk the next two visitors before Stortford’s FA Cup campaign kicks off on Saturday September 27.
