Last gasp winner
The Blues unbeaten run looked to be at an end after a scrappy game against Havant & Waterlooville that saw them trailing 1-0 in the 87th minute but a header from centre back Sean Francis floated in to the goal (see picture left) and with 7 minutes of extra time it was game on. The Blues kept on battling and the visitors, who were the main reason for the added 7 minutes, seemed to have a new lease of life but it was the Blues who sealed the win. a throw in by Matt Johnson was pinged back to his feet and he delivered the ball to almost the same spot as the Sean Francis equaliser but this time it was George Sykes who leapt above the rest and netted the ball in to the top right of the net.
As the final whistle was blown manager Rod Stringer leapt in to the air in delight as his team won their 3rd game of the season and jumped to 6th in the table.
