BISHOP’S STORTFORD 0, AFC SUDBURY 2

(THE NATIONAL LEAGUE UNDER 19 ALLIANCE – DIVISION C)

Blues Academy side slipped to defeat conceding a goal in each half as they played their first home game of the season.

They made it hard for themselves conceding a goal in the first minute through poor defending and Sam Bishop netted for the Suffolk side

After an indifferent first half Stortford improved after the break but fell further behind twenty minutes from the end when Aaron Pengelly scored from just inside the box with a shot that went in off the underside of the bar.

Tim Moylette’s side tried hard to get a consolation goal before the end and substitute Ted Dean headed wide when well placed and Sami Shulton had a shot saved by Sudbury keeper Ben Whiteman.
