Both sides are involved in the relegation dogfight, with Staines bottom of the table and Blues one place ahead of the drop zone in 19th spot.

Staines have five wins and 20 defeats from their 25 games and are ten points behind the Blues with a game in hand.

Three of those wins came in August, and the Middlesex side then went on a nine game losing streak before a 2-1 home win against the Blues. That proved to be only a brief respite as another six straight losses finally cost boss Marcus Gayle his job.

The new managerial team of Nicky Forster and Graham Abercrombie lost their opening game at Concord before winning 2-1 at home against Gosport Borough and then losing 2-1 at Bath.

Stinger will be hoping to have defender Johnny Herd and striker Mikel Suarez after the pair missed Saturday’s 2-0 loss at Gosport Borough due to injury. West Ham loanee Ben Marlow should also be available after missing the trip to the south coast due to a family bereavement.

Blues under-21s are also in action on Saturday when they travel to Knebworth in the Herts Intermediate Cup.
