Comeback too late for Blues

Categories: Uncategorized

Two late goals from the Blues weren’t enough to prevent a 3-2 home loss against Chelmsford City on Monday afternoon.

After a goalless first half, City opened the scoring through Luke Callander in the 58th minute before the same player doubled the lead within 60 seconds.

The visitors made 3-0 lead through Michael Cheek in the 73rd minute before skipper Anthony Church cut the deficit three minutes later.

Mikel Suarez set up a grandstand finish with a 79th minute penalty but that was as good as it got as Rod Stringer’s side slid to their third straight loss.
