If travelling from the M25
Take M11 North towards Cambridge. Exit M11 at Junction 8 (please note that junction 8 now has two exits, the first - signposted for Bishop's Stortford and the Motorway Services is the one you want). On the M11 roundabout (see map) take 2nd exit (1st exit is for the services only). Within 200yds is another roundabout. Take 1st exit. After about 400yds take first right (opposite the Golf Club) into Industrial Estate and follow the road around to your right.
The ground and car park (£1) are straight ahead. To ensure a parking space arrive at least 30 minutes before kick off. If visiting clubs intend to bring supporters coaches as well as a team coach, please telephone BSFC in advance so that space can be reserved - 01279 306456. Time-wise, the ground is just three minutes drive from Junction 8.
If travelling from the A10
From the A10 take the roundabout exit marked for Bishop's Stortford A120. Proceed along the A120 following signs for Bishop's Stortford and then the M11, travelling through Standon and then straight on at the Little Hadham traffic lights.
At the next roundabout, now on the outskirts of the town, do not follow signs into the town centre but continue around the by-pass (A120) still following M11 signs. Go straight over at the next roundabout (Stansted Mountfitchet & Saffron Walden left, Bishop's Stortford right) and proceed up the hill through the woods still on the A120.
At the next roundabout (you will see the M11 junction roundabout just ahead of you) take the last exit. This is the 'Dunmow Road'. Proceed for a few hundred yards (golf club on your left) and take the first turning on the right.
For those who wish to visit the market town of Bishop's Stortford, do not turn right into Industrial Estate but carry straight on. This is called the 'Dunmow Road'. Do not turn off. Come to traffic lights at crossroads and go straight on. 200yds down the hill is a roundabout. 1st exit into a one way street. 300yds, main line rail station on left, road bears right. Get into right hand lane and filter right. Open car park on right and multi-storey on left. (Best of luck parking on a Saturday) On leaving either car park, one way system takes you to a set of traffic lights. Turn right and get in left hand lane. Straight on at roundabout and up the hill to the crossroads and traffic lights. Straight on up the 'Dunmow Road' back to the ground now on your left.
BY TRAIN
Bishop's Stortford main line rail station is on the Liverpool Street to Cambridge line. Fast & frequent services and some Stansted Express trains stop at Stortford station. Check before boarding. From Liverpool Street the journey time is between 35 and 47 minutes (fast or all-stops trains). The ground is a good 20 minute walk from the station, but there is a taxi-rank immediately outside the booking office.
If you are planning to WALK, from the station to the ground, here are some directions; On leaving the station building walk ahead and bear right, up the slope. Turn right crossing over the rail line and proceed to T junction. Turn left ('London Road') and walk towards the traffic lights (known as 'Hockerill'). At the lights turn right into the 'Dunmow Road'. This is a long part of the journey by foot. Proceed straight up this road, passing the 'Red Cow Pub' on your right. You will pass an Unwins off-license and general stores on your left, a Toyota garage on your right and a Land-Rover dealers on your left at a roundabout. Continue straight on.
At the next roundabout proceed straight on and the next turning on the left is for 'Woodside Industrial Park'. Turn left into the estate and follow the road round to the right. Continue straight on and the ground is in front of you. Turnstiles operate at this and the far end of the main stand.
