Changes at the Blues

There’s two in and three out following a mid-season re-shuffle by Blues boss Rod Stringer.

roweDefender Chris M’Boungou and winger Omar Rowe (left) link up with the Blue Brazil, with M’Boungou having been an unused sub in last week’s draw against Hayes & Yeading.

Frenchman M’Boungou spent two seasons with AS Cannes and before that was with the AJ Auxerre academy for seven years. After a trial with Stevenage, the 23-year-old joined Staines Town early in the 2013/2014 season and during his time with the West London club made over 50 appearances, scoring several goals..

Rowe was born in Hackney and spent the first part of his youth development at West Ham United, but moved to Southampton at under-16 level where he excelled. He signed his professional deal with Southampton in July 2013 and made his debut for the club in the second round of the Capital One Cup against Barnsley a month later, replacing Lloyd Isgrove in the 72nd minute of a 5–1 away win. He was released by the Saints at the end of last season and had a trial back with former club West Ham in pre-season before spending a spell at Essex Senior League side Tower Hamlets to maintain fitness.

As mentioned in last week’s programme Michael Thalassitis has been released, while Mason Walsh has returned to AFC Bournemouth. Finally, today has seen Matty Fatimo move to big-spending Vanarama National League side Eastleigh.
