Blues look to swoop on Hawks
Blues will look to end their three game losing streak when they travel to the south coast to face Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.
Rod Stringer’s side will face a team who have won two of their opening five Vanarama South Conference games to sit in 11th place in the table. Their first three games ended in defeats against Bromley, Sutton and Ebbsfleet – all of whom are expected to challenge for promotion – before they got off the mark with a 3-1 home win against Staines last Saturday. They picked up their second victory of the season in slightly fortuitous circumstances as goalkeeper Ryan Young scored with a drop kick in the 2-1 win at Bath City.
Late goals from Sean Francis and George Sykes saw Blues grab a thrilling 2-1 win when they side met at the ProKit UK Stadium just under a year ago but the Hawks gained revenge at the tail end of last season when a pair of early goals saw them win the return 2-0.
