Blues go international
Stortford’s attacking options have been boosted with the addition of Sierra Leone striker Ishmael Kamara and he goes straight into the squad for today’s home game against Maidenhead United
The 27-year-old has been capped five times by his country in a career that has taken him all over the world. He has played for clubs in Sweden, Thialand, the USA and the Ivory Coast.
Early in the 2010/2011 season the 6’1” forward signed for Margate where he caught the eye of Leeds United, but no move materialised. He then had spells with Maidenhead United and Dulwich Hamlet. In October 2012 Ishmael was signed by Barnet and whilst with the Bees made one senior appearagagance coming on as a substitute against Fleetwood Town. He was eventually released by Barnet and played for Dartford last season.
