Auger to sit out Borough’s visit

While Adam Bailey-Dennis goes straight into Blues’ squad following completion of his loan deal from Bromley, midfielder Ryan Auger will miss Saturday’s home game against Eastbourne due to suspension.

Auger’s booking against Hemel Hempstead a fortnight ago was his fifth of the season leading to a one-game ban.

The pitch at the ProKit UK Stadium is in good condition despite yesterday’s downpour and Blues will be looking to pick up their second home win of the campaign as they host 11th placed

Boss Rod Stringer is expecting a difficult game against the Sussex side: “They started the season well, and although they’ve slipped down the table a bit, I expect them to be there or thereabouts at the season’s end – either in the play-offs or at least challenging for them.”

Blues under-21s are also in action today as the club returns to the Herts Intermediate Cup after an absence of nearly a decade. Mark Ashford’s side will look to continue their blistering start to the season when they travel to Old Parmiterians.

Don’t forget that the England v Slovenia game will be shown live in the bar at 5pm
