Chip & PIN Cup
With budgets tight for the local Cub Scout packs football final, things were looking a little grim for the location of the event. That is until local business Chip & PIN Solutions Ltd stepped in and sponsored the event. The competition takes place every year throughout the football season and finals are held in April, but this year, through sponsorship, the finals took place at Woodside Park the home of Bishop’s Stortford FC.
David Maisey (left), Managing Director of Chip & PIN Solutions, said “It was a great pleasure to help out with the funding for the Cubs of Bishop’s Stortford. We are delighted that that the Cubs all thoroughly enjoyed it. We would like to offer our thanks to John Turner and the staff at Bishops Stortford FC for their work and support on the event.”
In a well-filled stadium the top 4 of the league played 2 semi-finals. The last game of the night was the Chip & Pin Cubs Cub final between Apache and Saxon Orange which Apache won 2-1. For the full press release click HERE.
FA League Allocation - Blues Go South !!!
Below is an extract from the FA league allocation correspondence received today.
"In Step 1, two reformed clubs have made it to the top level with Chester and FC Halifax Town regaining the positions help by their predecessors. At Step 2 it has been possible to re allocate Bishops Stortford FC to Conference South. This Step also sees Concord Rangers, Gosport Borough, Leamington, North Ferriby United and Whitehawk FCs making their debuts in the second tier of the “pyramid”
As in previous years, there are a number of issues that may yet impact of these allocations and therefore they remain subject to change until the dates of the AGMs of the four competitions".
The allocation for the Conference South can be seen in the table on the left.

First Pre-season Friendlies Announced
The Blues have already arranged 2 pre-season friendlies with teams from the Football League. Southend Utd will be our visitors on Tuesday 9th July and Colchester Utd will visit Woodside Park on Saturday 13th July. Keep checking back on the website for more details of pre-season friendlies.

Football Conference Youth Alliance Champions 2012 / 13
Bishop's Stortford FC Academy, the Football Conference Youth Alliance Champions 2012 /13 is now looking for new players who would be interested in joining our very successful full time football scheme. This scheme will now be entering its 5th season and is well established producing players for Bishop's Stortford FC who play in the Football Conference.
All applicants should be 16 or 17 years old and must obtain 5 GCSEs at grade C level including English and Mathematics.

Bishop’s Stortford Youth 2013/14 Season - OPEN TRAINING SESSION
BSFC Youth are looking to build on the continuing success of the current Sunday League (RCYL) and Eastern Junior Alliance. BSFC Season 2013-14 is looking to attract players from under13 -18 if you are talented and want to develop to be part of BSFC continued success.
BSFC have teams playing in the Eastern Junior Alliance League from under 13 -18 for season 2013-14, if you are currently training with a Development Squad or have recently left a Academy or are looking to develop your talent with a progressive club.
BSFC will be running open training sessions and friendly matches are being arranged for the coming weeks and those with the right attributes will be included. BSFC are also looking for players of all abilities for this age group we have teams in all 4 divisions of the Royston Crow League .
